  • Possessing an enveloping effect, herbal remedies promote the rapid recovery of stomach cells in case of gastritis or.
  • As a result of such treatment, there is a tendency to a decrease in inflammatory reactions, as a result of which discomfort is noticeably declining.
  • Different tinctures, beekeeping products have a beneficial effect on the digestive process as a whole.

The use of folk remedies brings clear benefits not only to the organs of the digestive system. Some of the recipes can boast of a tonic effect, the ability to cleanse the body of toxins, restore the intestinal microflora when.

Diet therapy for gastric ailments

People who have already discovered the first symptoms of stomach diseases should, first of all, switch to a strict diet.

  1. Exclude fried, spicy, smoked, salty dishes;
  2. Rough foods and alcoholic beverages will have to be abandoned altogether;
  3. When the inflammatory process is in an active stage, the diet must be followed with particular rigor. Porridge of a slimy consistency and soups will come in handy, boiled fish and meat, dairy products are allowed.

Professional skills: diagnostics and treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and biliary system.

Traditional medicine has recently become very popular among the population. Apparently, treatment with exclusively drug therapy no longer suits the patients themselves, who are aware of all the harm and possible side effects that they cause to the body.

This also applies to the treatment of the gastrointestinal tract, the quality of which affects the health of a person as a whole. What kind of diseases are treated with folk remedies, how to diagnose them, and whether a complete cure is possible without the use of drugs, this article will tell.

Major gastrointestinal diseases

Unfortunately, the prognosis for diseases of the digestive tract is disappointing. The number of patients who have these or that intestines increases from year to year. This is largely due to the lifestyle that people lead and the lack of basic knowledge of food hygiene.

The most common diseases (which cannot be ignored, and which require medical intervention and treatment) of the gastrointestinal tract are:

  • Gastritis, which is an inflammation of the mucous membrane of the digestive organ, in which there is a thinning of the upper layers of the cells of its walls.
  • Reflux esophagitis is characterized by inflammation of the walls of the esophagus, which is accompanied by vomiting, sometimes with blood.
  • Pancreatitis is an inflammatory process in the pancreas. They are accompanied by severe pain, vomiting, dizziness.
  • An ulcer of the stomach and duodenal ulcer is a deep lesion of the walls of organs, the symptoms of which are often expressed by acute pain, heartburn, and high acidity.
  • Gallstone disease is caused by a violation of the excretion of bile from the bladder. The patient feels a bitter taste in the mouth, nausea, often leading to vomiting.
  • Cholecystitis is another type of gallbladder inflammation.
  • Constipation and diarrhea are common bowel problems caused by various disorders in the functioning of the digestive tract.
  • Oncology is the most dangerous disease of the gastrointestinal tract. Symptoms and treatment of neoplasms directly depend on their type and stage of development. There are benign and malignant tumors, and if the former are not dangerous for a person, when diagnosed in time, the latter often lead to his death.

This is not the whole list of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Symptoms and treatment of these ailments, which are not identified and carried out in a timely manner, can lead to serious complications and even death.

Below we will take a closer look at some of them and folk recipes that can help and speed up recovery.

Gastritis and folk remedies

As medical statistics show, every second inhabitant of the planet suffers from this disease. Today it is even diagnosed in children. Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the digestive organ leads to disruptions in the entire process of digestion of food entering it, which affects the work of the rest of the digestive tract.

Causes of occurrence:

  • frequent stress and emotional stress;
  • improper nutrition;
  • infectious diseases and others.

Symptoms:

  • Gastritis with low acidity is characterized by nausea, painful manifestations in the pit of the stomach, vomiting, headache (in acute form), heartburn and belching, regardless of food intake, painful sensations in the heart (chronic stage).
  • Gastritis with high acidity manifests itself in the form of aching pain in the right hypochondrium, sour belching, nausea with a long break in meals and on an empty stomach, hunger pains and vomiting.

Treatment of the gastrointestinal tract with folk remedies for gastritis (low acidity):

  • Plantain infusion (leaves): 1 tbsp. pour a spoonful of dried herbs with boiling water (300 ml), leave for 2 hours. Take according to Art. l. before each meal for 20 minutes. The course is 4 weeks.
  • Take a collection of herbs in equal quantities: wormwood, calamus root, water shamrock leaves, caraway fruits. Mix everything (chop finely if necessary), pour 1 tablespoon of herbs with a glass of boiling water, place on low heat and simmer under a lid for 10 minutes. Divide the resulting broth into 3 parts and drink before meals.
  • Three times during the day before meals, take tsp. sea \u200b\u200bbuckthorn oil for 2 weeks.

Gastritis with high acidity

The recipes below have a beneficial effect on the entire gastrointestinal tract. The best treatment for high acidity is:

  • During a decade, drink 0.5 glasses of potato juice an hour before meals (drink freshly made). Break 10 days, and again you can continue the course if necessary.
  • Cinnamon powder (3 g) relieves pain symptoms well. Take before meals with warm water.
  • Once a day, drink freshly squeezed carrot juice (1 tbsp.), Can be divided into 2 doses, mixing it with potato 1: 1.

These recipes are easy to prepare, do not take much time, but are very effective for gastritis.

Ulcer treatment

Often, untreated gastritis becomes the cause of ulcers, but not only it. There are also such bad habits as:

  • unbalanced diet;
  • lack of a regimen in food intake;
  • alcohol and smoking;
  • stress and lack of sleep.

They cause this serious and in many ways life-threatening disease.

Its symptoms:

  • Pain on an empty stomach that gradually disappears after eating.
  • Violent sour belching.
  • Vomiting, which, depending on the stage of the disease, may have an admixture of scarlet blood.
  • Rapid weight loss.

Treatment of the gastrointestinal tract (in this case, ulcers of the digestive organ or 12-duodenal ulcer) is carried out by the following folk remedies:

  • Sea buckthorn (fresh berries 3 tbsp. L. Per one tbsp. Boiling water) boil for 10 minutes, strain the broth and dissolve in it 3 tbsp. l. honey. Take tsp. on empty stomach.
  • Take mummy on an empty stomach twice a day for a month.
  • Drink freshly squeezed cabbage juice (white cabbage) three times a day, 0.5 tbsp. before meals.
  • Mix a glass of kefir with a tablespoon of oil (any: sea buckthorn, sunflower, olive, corn), take on an empty stomach before bedtime.

These recipes will ease the patient's condition and speed up the healing process. With folk remedies, the gastrointestinal tract (ulcer in particular) can be difficult to cure without drug therapy, but as a prophylaxis or addition to the course prescribed by the doctor, they are quite suitable.

Stomach pain, causes and folk remedies for them

It is not recommended to look for yourself what causes stomach pains, since such actions lead to ill-time diagnosed diseases, which is often fraught with serious health problems.

But still, there are a number of reasons that cause them, which can be diagnosed and at the same time treated with the gastrointestinal tract independently. It:

  • Stressful situations. When a person is very worried, sometimes his stomach cracks. This happens when, for example, you have to perform on stage for the first time or conduct a presentation yourself. Pain spasms are well removed by marjoram infusion. It will take 1 tbsp. l. dried herbs, it must be poured with boiling water (glass) and insisted for an hour. Divide into several receptions and drink on the day of the "premiere".
  • Overeating. The easiest, fastest and most effective way to relieve stomach heaviness and pain is to cut the peeled onion crosswise, but not completely, and dip it in hot unsweetened tea. Insist for 10 minutes and drink.
  • Food poisoning. Alternative treatment of the gastrointestinal tract at the first signs of poisoning is the intake of activated carbon (or another sorbent) and a decoction of dill with honey. Pour stalks, seeds or leaves (dry or fresh) of dill with st. boiling water and simmer over low heat (cover) for 20-25 minutes, cool, dilute with boiled water to the previous volume and drink.

Important: folk remedies for food poisoning will help the patient, but they will not save if it is strong or caused by chemicals in the food, so calling an ambulance is mandatory.

Constipation and bowel obstruction

These unpleasant diseases may not be dangerous to health (except for inflammation of the peritoneum with intestinal obstruction), but they greatly affect the quality of life. As a rule, they are accompanied by cramps in the lower abdomen (with constipation), bloating and pain in the intestinal area with obstruction.

Treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract with constipation can be carried out with folk remedies, while intestinal obstruction should be diagnosed by a doctor and prescribe either surgery (with a mechanical form) or a course of therapy.

Folk recipes for constipation:

  • Flaxseed infusion. Pour one teaspoon of flax into boiling water (glass), cover and let it brew for 3-4 hours. Drink before bedtime, also eating seeds.

Important: flaxseed infusion is an excellent remedy for the prevention and treatment of the gastrointestinal tract, therefore it is recommended to take it as a course for a week several times a year.

  • Grind dry hay leaves, pour 2 tsp. boiling water (glass), put a container with infusion in a water bath for half an hour. Cool the resulting product, dilute to the previous amount with boiled water and drink half the dose before bedtime. The second - the next day before going to bed.

Folk remedies for diarrhea

Diarrhea treatment:

  • Diarrhea will disappear if the dried rye bread is poured with warm water, hold for 20 minutes. until it swells and drink the infusion in small sips during the day.
  • 1 tea l. pour oak bark 1.5 tbsp. boiling water, simmer for 10 minutes. over the fire, cool and drink 1 tbsp each day. l. for a number of (3-5) receptions.

If diarrhea lasts more than 2 days, you should see your doctor to diagnose the cause.

Achalasia treatment

This disease of the esophagus is associated with a violation of the motor function of the organ, and therefore food does not enter the stomach, but gets stuck on the way to it, causing severe pain behind the sternum.

  • Pour 50 g of dry oregano with boiling water (400 ml), wrap the container and let it brew. Drink 100-125 ml before each meal.
  • 3 (minimum 2) Art. spoons of marshmallow (crushed root) pour water, boil and set aside in a warm place for a couple of hours. Drink infusion twice a day, 100 ml.
  • Rhodiola rosea root (3 tbsp is enough) to throw in half a liter of alcohol (diluted) or vodka, let it brew for 4-5 days in a dark place, take up to 3 rubles / day, 10-15 drops.

This disease is intractable, so you should follow the doctor's recommendations, and even select folk remedies after consulting with him.

Folk remedies for reflux

This unpleasant disease is difficult to diagnose because its symptoms are similar to other problems in the digestive tract. Main features:

  • severe burning in the sternum;
  • belching;
  • pain after eating an hour and a half later;
  • return of undigested food to the oral cavity.

The folk remedies already mentioned above will help relieve unpleasant symptoms, such as:

  • flax seed tincture with enveloping properties;
  • potato juice;
  • dill tincture: 1 tbsp. boiling water for 2 teaspoons of seeds, divided into 4 parts, take a day.

Important: reflux is not treated with phytopreparations that can only alleviate the patient's condition, since with this disease it is necessary to change both the diet and its regime, and to undergo drug therapy.

Propolis for gastrointestinal tract treatment

Treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract with propolis has been known to people since ancient times. First of all, this beekeeping product has strongly pronounced wound-healing properties, which are positively manifested in the treatment of gastritis and ulcers of the digestive organ and duodenum.

It also has a stimulating effect that has a beneficial effect on the work of all organs of the digestive tract. Take propolis:

  • With an ulcer. Dilute five drops of 30% tincture in 20-30 ml of purified (boiled) water and drink three times a day half an hour before meals. Gradually increase the number of drops to 40, after which the course is terminated.
  • With gastritis (low acidity). Mix propolis tincture (10%) with honey (78 g) and Kalanchoe juice (15 ml), warm up in a water bath for half an hour, drink according to Art. l. three times a day. Duration 4 weeks.

Propolis shows excellent results both as an independent remedy in the early stages of these diseases, and as an addition to the main therapy.

Oats for inflammation of the gastric gland

Treatment with oats of the gastrointestinal tract is no less popular. For example, with pancreatitis, a decoction from this plant has a beneficial effect on the pancreas, relieving inflammation. For this:

  • oat grains should be peeled;
  • pour warm water;
  • put in a warm place for their germination;
  • grind the germinated grain;
  • connect 1 tbsp. l. flour with st. water and boil for 2-3 minutes;
  • insist and drink for 1 reception.

The course of treatment with oats for pancreatitis lasts until complete recovery.

Early prevention

All of the above recipes from traditional medicine are best used before the onset of the disease. Both sea buckthorn, and decoctions and tinctures of oats, flax grains, oak bark and other plants have a beneficial effect on the work of the digestive tract, so a little attention and time should be taken to prevent health, and a general strengthening course should be carried out at least once a year. Do not forget also about the regime and proper nutrition.

Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract are distinguished by a recurrent course, periodic disability, sometimes for a long time. In almost half of patients with a gastroenterological profile, the disorders are of a functional nature, in which synthetic drugs are not always effective. The therapeutic possibilities increase with the complex use of herbal preparations. The advantage of herbal medicines in the treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract lies in their multicomponent effect on the body: enveloping, antispasmodic, alkalizing, soothing, anti-inflammatory, laxative, astringent, anesthetic, carminative, hemostatic, reparative.

Preparations from plants normalize appetite, improve the content of vitamins, trace elements, mineral salts, membrane permeability, secretion processes, absorption. Phytotherapeutic drugs restore the normal intestinal microflora and eliminate the phenomenon of dysbiosis. They have a beneficial effect on the nervous and endocrine systems of the patient, improve the trophism of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, which corrects the processes of digestion.

Among the means that protect the mucous membrane from mechanical and chemical damage, there are phytopreparations with an adsorbing, enveloping, astringent, anti-inflammatory and reparative effect. Mucus, which is present in many plants, is known to have a high absorbing capacity, as a result of which it adsorbs the intestinal microflora, components of food and digestive juices, and various poisons. By covering the inflamed tissue, the mucus inhibits heat transfer and acts as a warming compress. In addition, mucous substances protect the tissue of organs from external irritations, as a result of which pain decreases, spasms of the gastrointestinal tract are relieved. Thus, normal conditions are created for the digestive tract to work. Most often prescribed chamomile, marshmallow, mallow, coltsfoot, tricolor violet, flax, potatoes.

Herbal preparations with anti-inflammatory and astringent properties are of great importance in the treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. They form on the surface of the mucous membrane a protective film of denatured mucus proteins with a vasoconstrictor effect. Prescribe calamus, aloe, birch, elecampane, St. John's wort, centaury, calendula, cabbage, nettle, cinquefoil, flax, burdock, mint, oats, dandelion, plantain, chamomile, dried caraway, caraway seeds, yarrow, chicory, celandine, wild rose, eucalyptus.

It is customary to distinguish between systemic and non-systemic antacids. The first include sodium bicarbonate, the second - calcium carbonate, aluminum and magnesium hydroxides, magnesium oxide, used in various dosage forms and in various combinations. Phytoantacids, if you call them so conditionally, include phosphalugel (Yugoslavia), containing aluminum phosphate and colloidal gels of pectin and agar-agar, which are able to bind and sorb toxins, gases, bacteria and reduce the activity of pepsin.

The second group of drugs that reduce the production of hydrochloric acid include histaminolytics (blockers of H 2 -histamine receptors), which are the most potent known drugs that inhibit the secretory function of the stomach. They reduce the secretion of hydrochloric acid and pepsin in response to gastric distension, exposure to food, histamine, gestrin, and the administration of exogenous substances such as pentagastrin and caffeine. H 2 -histaminolytics weakly inhibit the stimulation of gastric secretion by acetylcholine and cholinomimetics, do not affect the adrenergic systems. From the point of view of the therapeutic effect in peptic ulcer disease, the drugs of this group are able to suppress the basal and nocturnal secretion, which differs from m-anticholinergics.

Despite a number of advantages of H 2 -histaminolytics, m-anticholinergics (atropine, platifillin) are widely used in phytotherapy of the digestive system. By blocking the corresponding cholinergic receptors located in the gastric mucosa and in the smooth muscles of the stomach and intestines, they reduce the excitatory effect of acetylcholine on them. Due to this, the basal and nocturnal secretions of gastric juice and hydrochloric acid are reduced, and gastric secretion stimulated by food decreases to a lesser extent. In the course of the action of the drugs, gastric emptying is delayed, the time of contact of the contents with antacids is prolonged with an increase in the alkalizing effect of the latter.

M-anticholinergics are not used independently in the treatment of ulcerative processes in the digestive tract; they are often used in combination with antacids and other medicinal agents. The effectiveness of m-anticholinergics is significantly higher with pyloroduodenal ulcers than with mediogastric ulcers.

Atropine, 0.1% solution, is administered orally in drops, taken 30 minutes before meals. Doses of atropine depend on age and individual sensitivity; to a certain extent, the patient is guided by the appearance of dry mouth and dilated pupils.

Platyphyllin affects the function of smooth muscle organs, in particular the gastrointestinal tract. This is, apparently, due to the antispasmodic-papaverine-like action of the drug. Platyphyllin is produced in powders, tablets of 0.005 g and ampoules of 1 ml of a 0.2% solution.

The third group of drugs that normalize the increased activity of the acid-peptic factor includes agents that protect the mucous membrane from mechanical and chemical damage. The drugs of this group have an adsorbing, enveloping, astringent and anti-inflammatory effect. They are successfully combined, introducing official complex drugs such as vikalin, vikair, roter into medical practice.

Some phytopreparations made from oak bark, St. John's wort, chamomile flowers, sage leaves, blueberries and bird cherry are traditionally used in inflammatory processes of various parts of the digestive tract. The alkaloids, glycosides, tannides, aromatic compounds, essential oils, saponins included in their composition have an astringent, adsorbing and enveloping effect.

Among medicinal plants with a regenerative effect, one can name such as licorice (licorice), cabbage, elecampane, comfrey, celandine.The action of licorice, in particular, is due to an increase in the synthesis of mucus glycoproteins, a decrease in the peptic activity of gastric juice, an increase in the content of cAMP in the mucosa. The cytoprotective effect of licorice preparations is also due to their effect on the ratio of prostaglandins in the cells of the mucous membrane. From licorice, carbenoxolone is obtained, which contains pentacyclic terpene (produced abroad under the name Biogastron) and liquiditone, which includes the sum of flavonoids, which cause anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and gastric secretion-reducing action.

Often, with the syndrome of an increase in the acid-peptic factor, methyl methionine sulfonic chloride (vitamin U) in combination with antacids and m-anticholinergics, as well as sea buckthorn oil, rosehip oil, aloe extract and other biogenic stimulants are prescribed as drugs that improve the regeneration of the mucous membrane.

With insufficient activity of the acid-peptic factor and enzymatic deficiency, bitterness is widely used in the complex treatment of diseases of the digestive system. Distinguish between pure bitterness and aromatic. Pure bitterness is bitter, indifferent, nitrogen-free substances similar in chemical structure to glycosides. Their main effect is irritation of the gustatory nerves in the oral cavity and a reflex increase in the activity of the digestive glands. These properties are inherent in the roots of gentian, dandelion, tripoli leaves, centaury grass.

Aromatic bitterness, in addition to bitter substances, contains essential oils, so they act on the digestive system not only reflexively through the taste nerves of the oral cavity, but also directly through the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines, where they get after swallowing. Therefore, their action is longer and more intense. This group includes wormwood, yarrow, calamus rhizome.

In the practice of a phytotherapist, it is sometimes necessary to use emetics to remove chemicals or food from the stomach that caused the poisoning. Emetics are divided into central and peripheral agents. Centrally acting drugs include apomorphine, a morphine derivative, which excites the neurons of the trigger (trigger) chemosensitive zone of the medulla oblongata, which leads to stimulation of the vomiting center. The drug is produced in ampoules of 1 ml of a 1% solution. In the absence of the effect of the first injection of the drug, it cannot be re-injected due to the increased direct blocking effect of apomorphine on the vomiting center and depression of the central nervous system. Emetic root syrup (Ipecacuanha root) can also be used - it is a peripheral emetic. The drug containing the alkaloid emetine induces vomiting due to irritation of the gastric mucosa. The syrup is prepared just before use by mixing 1 part of liquid emetic extract with 9 parts of simple sugar syrup.

In therapy, laxatives are often used that increase the osmotic pressure in the intestinal lumen. There are saline, contact (castor oil) laxatives and preparations containing anthraglycosides. Castor oil in the duodenum is hydrolyzed by pancreatic lipase to release glycerol and ricinolic acid. The pancreatic enzyme irritates the cells of the intestinal mucosa, inhibits the process of active absorption of water and electrolytes.

Features of caring for patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract

A caring relative should be observant and attentive to the patient's condition, help him strictly follow the treatment regimen.

With any violation of the regimen, the patient may aggravate the course of the disease: increased abdominal pain, heartburn, belching, nausea and vomiting, indigestion, accompanied by diarrhea or constipation, while appetite may disappear and aversion to food may occur and unwillingness to eat any food at all.

To prevent this from happening, the caregiver must ensure that the patient is fed according to a strict therapeutic diet prescribed by the doctor, depending on the disease and the patient's condition, in compliance with the amount of food taken, its composition and quality of preparation, the number of meals and their time.

It is easy to disrupt the work of the gastrointestinal tract, but it is much more difficult to get it working.

The patient should not be allowed to overeat. Food portions should be kept small.

Any food that other, healthy family members eat should not get to the patient, even if he begs. It is better that he does not even see such food or smell it.

The patient must be explained that all these restrictions are temporary, that his diet will gradually expand as he recovers, and any errors in the diet will lead to an exacerbation of the disease. It will be especially difficult to convince patients with chronic diseases in which a number of products have to be completely excluded. After all, they used to eat these products with pleasure, but now they can't. But there are foods from the forbidden list - this is to aggravate an existing disease every time, get sick again, and get sick is hard. Better to try to forget that these products even exist. After all, any diet is just our habit and attitude towards certain foods. With a limited diet, it is better to love the foods that are included in it than to break the diet. Delicious dishes can be prepared from these products and served so that they look very appetizing, and their taste should gradually become pleasant for the patient.

So, for such patients, the main principle of treatment is adherence to a therapeutic diet and the organization of the correct meal.

The caregiver must ensure that the medication prescribed by the doctor is strictly and timely.

The quality of the gastrointestinal tract should be monitored.

If necessary, according to the doctor's prescription, you should give mineral water, put enemas and give laxatives.

For such patients, it is important to observe oral hygiene: after eating, a bedridden patient must rinse his mouth, and a patient who is allowed to walk can rinse his mouth and brush his tongue and teeth.

Bedridden patients should be provided with perineal hygiene. Walking patients should take care of their bodies on a daily basis, keeping the body, arms and armpits, legs and perineum clean.

Feeding a bedridden patient is performed with the head elevated or in a semi-sitting position, if the patient can be lifted.

In case of exacerbations of the disease, you should carefully monitor the patient's condition, calling a local doctor or an ambulance in case of alarming signs.

A caring relative should be aware that acute, excruciating, persistent abdominal pain, severe vomiting, and blood in vomit or faeces are warning signs.

Heating pads should be given to the patient only as directed by a doctor. There are such conditions that a heating pad placed on the stomach can bring the patient to an urgent surgical operation.

For diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, complex therapy is required, which includes the use of folk remedies. The use of such traditional therapies is in demand because they can be used at home and are made with available ingredients. It is only important to properly prepare the product so that it is beneficial.

Types of stomach diseases and their signs

The gastrointestinal tract system consists of different organs involved in the processes of swallowing, digestion, and assimilation of food. After chewing food, it enters the pharynx, then into the esophagus, stomach, intestines, and large intestine. And also in the digestion of food, such working organs as the pancreas, gallbladder, liver, kidneys, adrenal glands are involved. Problems in the work of one or more of these organs can lead to the development of serious pathologies and diseases.

According to statistics, men are more susceptible to gastrointestinal diseases. This is due to bad habits, especially alcohol abuse, the habit of going to doctors too late, when the stomach does not work at all.

Common gastroenterological diseases include:

  • Ulcers of the stomach and duodenum. It implies injury to the mucous membrane, severe inflammation caused by an increase in the amount of acid and bile. Abdominal pain with peptic ulcer disease can be felt in different places, but more often they are the center of the abdomen - around the navel, under the left, right ribs.
  • Gastritis. In this disease, the stomach "digests itself": due to inflammation, the amount of gastric juice decreases, acidity increases. If you do not start treatment on time, erosions appear on the mucous membrane - erosive gastritis begins to develop.
  • Polyposis. Polyps are benign formations located on the inner wall of the stomach. The disease is rare, more common in men aged 45-50 years and older. Polyps are located either in the pylorus of the stomach or inside it.
  • Cancer. One of the dangerous, fatal diseases, the exact causes of which are still being studied. There are 4 stages of the disease, when the last patient is found, the patient lives no more than several years. Only when cancer is diagnosed at the initial, zero stage, 90% of patients expect a favorable prognosis of treatment.

It has been proven by doctors that ulcers, chronic gastritis and polyps sometimes serve as fertile ground for the development of stomach cancer. By themselves, all the above gastrointestinal diseases are dangerous, so you can't decide what to do on your own. Only the attending gastroenterologist can determine how to cure the disease, or, if it is chronic, stop its development.

The role of folk remedies

If you use folk recipes as part of complex therapy, they will help to cope with the main symptoms of inflammation. These include:

  • frustration, problems with stool;
  • - problems with food assimilation;
  • nausea, vomiting;
  • heartburn;
  • flatulence;
  • unpleasant, nasty tastes in the mouth;
  • weight loss;
  • stomach ache;
  • deterioration of the general condition.

The goal of therapy for gastrointestinal diseases is to restore. With an ulcer, this is completely impossible to do, since it is a chronic disease. And with gastritis or a similar disease - you can completely stop the inflammatory process.

Folk remedies are recommended for use in congenital abnormalities of the stomach, for example, with its omission. Compliance with a diet and the use of folk recipes will help to avoid the onset of inflammatory processes, the development of pathological changes.

Popular folk recipes

Treatment of the stomach with folk remedies will be advisable for gastritis, gastric or duodenal ulcers, cardiac insufficiency, diseases preceding these. You need to choose a recipe based on your own preferences, capabilities, body tolerance of the selected products. The most effective folk methods, according to those who have experienced them on themselves, are given below.

Potato juice

It has anti-inflammatory, wound healing and anesthetic effects, suitable for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract with increased acidity. There are several ways to use it:

  • Pass the peeled, washed potatoes through a juicer. Juice is taken 20 g one hour before meals three times a day. Next week, a single portion of juice is increased to 40 g and so on up to 100 g. Then a break is made for a month, after which the course can be repeated.
  • We pass potatoes through a juicer, separately carrots. We take the juices of both vegetables in equal quantities - 100 g each, mix, drink in the morning on an empty stomach. You can have breakfast no earlier than an hour later.

If there is no juicer, you can grate the potatoes on a fine grater, then filter through a sieve or cheesecloth.

Potato juice has an unpleasant odor. If it is very difficult to take it, you can add a little honey to the glass.

Cabbage juice

The advantage of this folk remedy is that the raw materials for its preparation are available at any time of the year. Suitable for patients with low acidity. It is recommended to take a glass of freshly squeezed juice a day. After the drink is squeezed out, it must be filtered to avoid lumps, and heated to a temperature of about 40 degrees.

The remedy is taken twice a day - before breakfast on an empty stomach, a few hours before dinner. Many people find it convenient to prepare a drink in the evening, squeezing a glass of juice at once for two receptions. The shelf life of the cabbage drink is 24–36 hours. After that, the beneficial properties are lost.

Propolis

Propolis is a beekeeping product widely used in folk medicine, including in the treatment of diseases of the digestive system. It is suitable for people with any acidity, having anti-inflammatory, soothing, softening effects.

There are many recipes based on propolis, the recipe with butter is highly effective, according to those who have experienced them on themselves. For cooking, take 100 g of butter, melt, but do not bring to a boil. Remove from heat, add 10 g of propolis, put in a water bath until the mixture becomes homogeneous.

The remedy is taken three times a day one hour before meals, 1 tsp. It is recommended to mix a mixture of propolis with butter and milk, warming it to room temperature. You can also add some honey for flavor. All of these ingredients are capable of enveloping the inflamed mucous membrane, providing a soothing effect.

Gooseberry leaves

They are especially effective in the complex treatment of hernia of the esophagus, which is most often encountered in the elderly. At their age, many drugs and even folk remedies may be contraindicated. The use of a decoction based on gooseberry leaves has one contraindication - individual intolerance.

To prepare the broth, gooseberry leaves are best prepared in advance. During the season, you can prepare raw materials for a year in advance, especially since the course of treatment can be periodically repeated. We take 1 tbsp. l. dry crushed leaves, pour 0.5 liters of boiling water, bring to a boil, leave for several hours, filter. The entire prepared dose should be divided into 4 doses during the day. The broth is taken an hour before meals.

St. John's wort

This plant is known as a natural antibiotic due to its medicinal effect. With gastritis, stomach ulcers, such properties as wound healing, anti-inflammatory, bactericidal are especially valuable.

Such plant-based recipes are considered effective:

  • Boiling water infusion. We take 40 g of dry St. John's wort (pharmacy is suitable), brew in 0.5 liters of boiling water, leave to infuse in a thermos overnight. In the morning we filter the drink, take 50 ml during the day one hour before meals before each meal. For every day, you need to brew a fresh infusion.
  • With butter. This recipe only requires a fresh plant, so it can only be cooked in season. We wash St.John's wort under running water, chop finely, place in a glass jar without tamping. Pour olive oil into it, close the lid, send it to a dark place for 10 days. We accept strained butter in 1 tbsp. l. an hour before meals three times a day.

The flowering period of St. John's wort is summer, the stems must be cut no longer than 25-30 cm, the rough base must remain.

In this and other recipes, you can replace olive oil with ordinary sunflower oil, unrefined. However, olive oil contains more nutrients.

Diet

Without a diet, the treatment of any gastrointestinal disease will not be successful. In order to correctly give nutritional recommendations, the doctor takes into account the acidity level that affects the choice of permitted, prohibited foods.

If hyperacidity is diagnosed, the following nutritional recommendations must be followed:

  • vegetables are allowed only in baked, stewed, boiled form, but not raw;
  • citrus fruits are prohibited, all sour fruits;
  • you can not use fermented milk products;
  • bread is allowed only wheat, stale.

With low acidity, the menu is more gentle:

  • all fruits and vegetables in any form are allowed (fresh cabbage, onions, garlic, beans are limited);
  • you can eat low-fat dairy products;
  • bread is allowed on any basis, only stale.

The principles of nutrition are similar to gastrointestinal diseases with any acidity: you need to eat in fractional portions, but often, give up fatty, fried, spicy, salty, smoked. The ban especially applies to fast foods and convenience foods. Such a sparing attitude to the gastric mucosa and other organs of the gastrointestinal tract will relieve them of excessive stress and promote the healing of erosions.

Sometimes zero acidity is diagnosed - a serious pathology that is extremely rare. In this case, the attending physician deals with the appointment of therapy and diet on an individual basis.

The gastrointestinal tract is a complex of organs that control the digestive process in the body. The gastrointestinal tract consists of the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. Poor-quality products, abuse of fatty foods, irregular meals and dry food. All this and much more causes numerous diseases of the gastrointestinal tract: stomach ulcers, gastritis, enteritis, cholecystitis, colitis, hepatitis, pancreatitis and other symptoms of these diseases: colic, heartburn, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea or constipation ...

If you have problems with the gastrointestinal tract, you immediately need to give up some dishes and go on a strict diet. First of all, we are talking about giving up fried, fatty, spicy and salty foods, which in large quantities are harmful even for a healthy stomach. Also, raw vegetables and fruits, milk and dairy products should be excluded from the diet. You should eat porridge boiled in water, as well as boiled potatoes and lean meat. Of fruits, it is advisable to give preference to baked apples and bananas. You need to follow such a diet for at least 2 weeks.

Treatment of gastrointestinal diseases is carried out under the supervision of a physician. However, folk can also be added to the drug treatment methods.
