Alexander was born in the village of Berezovo, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, but as a child he and his family moved to the town of Lyubertsy near Moscow. It is interesting that, having already become popular, he very rarely allowed himself to perform songs based on his own poems.
Barykin graduated from the vocal department of Gnesinka, and then in absentia from the Krasnodar Institute of Culture.
His professional career began in 1973. At first, he performed in various groups - “Muscovites”, “Jolly Fellows”, “Gems”. In 1979, he organized the Carnival group, in which he performed together with Vladimir Kuzmin. The team became incredibly popular, however, it broke up and reassembled, but without Kuzmin. With Barykin as a soloist, he became truly stellar.
In the early nineties, the artist began to have problems with his ligaments, and he was temporarily forced to interrupt performances and recordings, returning only in the 2000s.

VLADIMIR KUZMIN
Vladimir Kuzmin was born in 1955 in Moscow. He was interested in music from an early age. Already at the age of 5, he took up the guitar, studied violin at a music school, wrote his first song at the age of 6, and organized his first group in middle school. After school, Kuzmin went to the Dnepropetrovsk Glinka Music College, where he chose the flute as an instrument.
He began his career by participating in various groups, the most popular of which was Carnival, which he founded together with Alexander Barykin. The artist’s collaboration with Alla Pugacheva added considerable success. He was the soloist of her song theater “Recital”, wrote songs for Prima Donna and, of course, sang with her.
In 1987, he embarked on a solo voyage, which he continues to successfully do to this day. In total, he has about 20 albums and more than 200 songs.

Alexey Glyzin
Alexey Glyzin is a native of the city of Mytishchi near Moscow. Like many stars, he began to get interested in music from childhood. Graduated from music school, piano class. But he didn’t go to study at a music university, but at a radio equipment-making technical school. However, he left it and created his first ensemble, and then nevertheless went to the Tambov cultural and educational school, and from there to the Moscow Institute of Culture.
Glyzin performed in the groups “Good Fellows”, “Gems”, “Rhythm”, but “Merry Fellows” brought him real fame. The group performed at many music festivals and competitions and gave the public a lot of hits.
In 1988, Alexey began his solo career. He released 8 solo albums, the last of which was released in 2012.

Igor Sarukhanov
Igor Sarukhanov was born in Samarkand in 1956. He has been interested in music since childhood, played in ensembles at school, and graduated from a music school with a degree in guitar. Igor dreamed of studying at Gnesinka, but was unable to enroll and, at the insistence of his parents, entered the Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering. True, a year later he left him and joined the army, where he served in a song and dance ensemble. There he met Stas Namin and ended up in his team “Blue Bird”, and then in “Flowers”.
In 1983, Igor formed his own group, “Circle,” which quickly became successful. And after 2 years, the artist began a solo career, which has not ended today. Sarukhanov's last album was released in 2012.

Vladimir Presnyakov
Fate left Vladimir Presnyakov Jr. almost no other choice but to study music, because it was in his genes. He was born into the family of popular musicians Vladimir and Elena Presnyakov - artists of the VIA "Gems"
Already at the age of 11 he wrote his first song, at 12 he sang in a church choir in Moscow, and at 13 he performed as part of the Cruise group, performing his own songs. Another 2 years later, Presnyakov Jr. began his solo career, performing in the Laima Vaikule variety show.

In 1983, Markin organized the “Difficult Childhood” ensemble, with which he began performing professionally. The group stood out from the rest with songs with irony and humor, thanks to which they gained wide popularity.
Markin left his singing career in the late nineties. Today he works as the director of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute House of Culture, an institute from which he himself graduated.

Sergey Minaev
Muscovite Sergei Minaev (not to be confused with the writer - author of the book “Spiritless”) graduated from GITIS and the Moscow School of Circus and Variety Arts. The main feature of his work was parodies. He began his performances with them in 1987. His arsenal included cover versions of hits by Modern Talking, Yaki-Da, E-Type, A-Ha, Boney M, Aqua, Blue System, Bad Boys Blue and many other famous performers. Minaev wrote all the texts of his parodies himself, and they were all distinguished by slight irony.
After a wave of success, Sergei hid from the public for a long time, but last year he returned and presented a new work - a jazz album.

Victor Saltykov
Viktor Saltykov was born in 1957 in Leningrad. From the age of five, he began to willingly perform at matinees in kindergarten, and then at school. His parents sent him to the children's choir of the chapel, but Victor's relationship with academic vocals did not work out. In addition, in his youth he began to actively get involved in sports, played tennis for 10 years and received a youth rank.
Saltykov was brought back to music by The Beatles. To listen to the quartet’s songs, he even worked part-time at a construction site - he had to buy a tape recorder for something. The more music there was in life, the more Victor himself wanted to sing.
This opportunity was given to him in 1983 as part of the Manufactura group. At one of the festivals, the soloist was noticed by Alexander Nazarov and invited to the Forum group. From this time on, Saltykov’s success began.
Later, the singer moved to the Electroclub group, in which Irina Allegrova and Igor Talkov worked at that time - the latter was just about to embark on a solo career, and Saltykov replaced him. In 1990, he himself began performing solo and continues to do so today.

Victor Tsoi
Another Leningrader, Viktor Tsoi, was born in 1962. As a child, he was interested in music and drawing. Therefore, he went to study at an art school and there he created his first musical group - “Ward No. 6”. True, he was unable to continue his creative work - he was expelled from the art school for poor academic performance. But his musical career turned out much better.
In 1981, Tsoi organized the group “Garin and Hyperboloids”, which quickly changed its name to “Kino” - it was this group that was destined to become a cult and one of the most successful groups of its time.
In parallel with his musical career, Viktor Tsoi acted in films, one of the most famous films with his participation is “The Needle”.
Viktor Tsoi died in 1990. He died in a car accident. He was 28 years old.

Chris Kelmi
Chris Kelmi (his real name is Anatoly) is a Muscovite. He took his pseudonym in honor of the hero of the novel “Solaris” by Chris Kelvin. At the age of 4, he began to become interested in music and play the piano. He graduated from music school, but went to study at a technical university - the Institute of Transport Engineers. But after that, he still entered the school. Gnessins (where he studied together with Vladimir Kuzmin).
Chris Kelmi began his career in the seventies, moving from one musical group to another. The most successful of them was “Rock-Atelier”, where Alexander Barykin and Olga Kormukhina once played.
In 1987, Kelmi came up with an idea that was fashionable at that time - to unite the most famous musicians and record a common hit. This was the song “Closing the Circle,” among the performers were Alexander Gradsky, Andrei Makarevich, Konstantin Nikolsky, Zhanna Aguzarova, Valery Syutkin, Alexander Ivanov and many others.
Since 2000, Chris Kelmi has pursued a solo career.

Vyacheslav Malezhik
Vyacheslav Malezhik’s first musical instrument was the accordion; it was on it that he gave home concerts for his family and played at friends’ weddings. Only then did Vyacheslav switch to guitar.
He began his career in 1969 as a vocalist of the group “Mosaic”. Like many, he moved from one group to another (among them were “Jolly Fellows”). Fame overtook him in 1977 as part of the ensemble “Flame”, where he began performing his own songs, which quickly became hits - the public liked their lyricism and melody.

Igor Talkov
In 1956, Igor Talkov, the future cult star of the Russian stage, was born in the Tula region. His family included hereditary nobles, Cossacks and officers of the tsarist army. And Igor decided to connect his fate with music. Already at school he began to play the accordion. He was no less seriously interested in sports, played hockey, but did not qualify for the Dynamo school. Therefore, he only became more involved in music.
At school, Talkov led the choir, played guitar, piano, violin and drums. At the same time, Igor did not master musical notation, perceiving everything by ear.
Talkov's first professional performances began in the mid-seventies. At first he simply worked part-time, giving concerts in variety shows, then he began to appear on stage as part of the groups “Electroclub” and “Rescue Club”, and also managed to play in several films.
In October 1991, Igor Talkov passed away. He was shot by Igor Malakhov, the director of the singer Aziza. He was 34 years old.

Yuri Antonov
Yuri Antonov is from Tashkent. Like other future stars, he was interested in music since childhood and in his youth created his first musical group. After studying at a music school, he went to work as a music teacher in Minsk, and then worked as a soloist at the Belarusian State Philharmonic, after which he worked there as an ensemble leader. Vladimir Mulyavin, the founder of the Pesnyary ensemble, worked for some time under Antonov’s leadership.
He began performing as a performer in the group “Singing Guitars”. Then there were “Good fellows”, “Jolly fellows”, then in the early eighties “Araks”, cooperation with which brought Yuri Antonov all-Union fame.
Today the performer is rightfully considered one of the masters of the national stage. In 2013, his anniversary concert tour “About You and About Me” began in honor of the 50th anniversary of his creative activity.

Yuriy Shatunov
The youngest participant on our list, but no less popular and even iconic, Yuri Shatunov comes from Kumertau. Since his father showed no interest in his son, after the death of his mother, the future star was taken in by his aunt. Then he was brought up in an orphanage - first in the Orenburg region, then in Orenburg itself.
In 1986, he met the head of the music circle, Yuri Kuznetsov, with whose help he created the group “Tender May” and made the first recordings of his songs on a regular tape recorder.
