As in the case of children, sometimes officials and parliamentarians, due to the requirements of the law, have to declare the income of spouses, which cannot even be called a penny: in the Duma declarations, the wife of a State Duma deputy has an earnings of 0.06 rubles.

The list of officials who are required to annually declare their income and property is constantly expanding. This year, the State Duma has already included municipal employees and Cossack atamans in it. The deputies have repeatedly proposed to expand the list of persons for whom they themselves will then have to report. These are ex-wives, and children who have reached the age of majority, and even brothers and sisters. However, Russians, as the results of polls, even now do not particularly trust the declarations: almost two-thirds of citizens doubt that the information indicated in them is true. The leader, who earned over 79 million rubles in 2016, proposed to generally release officials and parliamentarians of various ranks from the obligation to report on acquired property: “All these declarations, why are we doing this? People are annoying."
