- Frankly, my wife took upon herself all the basic household chores. She is with children all the time, with the exception of school. On me, by and large, the material and economic tasks and obligations to provide for the family. But, of course, as far as possible I go out with the guys, go in for sports with them. But I have a significantly lower burden than my spouse.

In general, Oksana is a representative of some other reality. It’s possible, for example, to constantly go with a child to the gym, to attractions, to the shooting range, to theaters and museums, somewhere else, but, by and large, this is all chaos. Education depends only on traditions and attitudes instilled in the family.

- Ivan, I know that your father was a rather busy person and was constantly on the move. Surely you missed him. Didn’t it happen that you followed in his footsteps?

“No, that cannot be said so.” Dad really was on permanent business trips, but I’m not leaving for a long time. I try to spend most of my time with my family. Moreover, I am firmly convinced of one thing: the more children are next to you, the more trusting your relationship is and the less things you have to explain to them later.

Whenever possible, I try to take my family with me to shoot and travel, but not all the guys at once, but in parts so that it is painless - I don’t take any of them from school: some travel with me and Oksana, then others . In addition, it is necessary to distribute all this evenly so that no one is offended.

“And how many children do you usually bring with you at a time?”

“Three or four people.” We cope. After all, we have autonomy - all our children at a fairly early age enter into such tribal relations, when everyone looks after each other, and everyone knows their function. Although this, of course, is also relative - with a cry, with a quarrel, with brawls among themselves, but everyone participates in gathering, in carrying suitcases, and in beautification - when we come to a new place.

- This is a very important topic. It is no secret that now many parents are trying to protect their children from any domestic problems, if only “there was an intellectual development”. Do you, as I understand it, is completely wrong?

- Yes. Time spent together, including in solving everyday problems, further socializes and prepares for a meeting with the real world. My children are much more adapted to reality than any over-ward child. They are always with us: they participate in adult cares and conversations, communicate with our friends.

Naturally, sometimes our “reasoning” is not at all interesting for children. But they tolerate this because we close our eyes to the fact that we are completely bored, for example, some kind of merry-go-round ... We make concessions to each other - in our family, you know, such a small ball of Vernadsky’s.

- It's fine! And at what age do you accustom children to useful work?

- As soon as they begin to think something, they immediately try to do some things that are useful to everyone. Moreover, we do not have an intelligible system of pioneer “reports” or a “line”. When the children are left alone at home, Oksana and I know for sure: the younger ones are under the supervision of the elders. For example, if one of the kids went to bathe, then adult children will definitely watch that nothing happens to them.

Moreover, mutual education takes place in both directions. A vivid example of this: I remember, I went out one morning in the kitchen in my underwear with Mickey Mouse prints and I understand that there are four adult citizens (my daughters) standing there and looking at me very condemningly. I feel uncomfortable, and somehow side by side I retreat, change clothes and since then I haven’t appeared in my own kitchen in this form.

- Speaking of daughters. You girls are already adult ladies. Do you, as an indifferent father, somehow control their personal life?

- How can I control the life of an adult? I can only try to control their life in society: they should not come back late, stay somewhere, and if they do this, then by agreement with me and Oksana so that we know where they are and with whom. In this regard, my wife and I adhere to rather conservative rules so that our head does not hurt and we should not drink sedatives.

Another thing is if they need our help ... We are fans of our children and will always be on their side.

- And how to motivate a teenage girl to report to her father, where and with whom does she spend time in the evenings?

- I motivate it easily: they will attack you, offend, rob, and then your dad will rush around the city with a shotgun, he will certainly mutilate someone and they will put him in prison. Girls, have pity on dad!

“Ivan, you served in the missile forces.” Give your sons to the army?

- Yes of course. Even Elvis Presley, at the very rise of his popularity, served in the army. A guy should generally serve his country. With rare exceptions: for example, if there is a military department at the institute. But even then it is useful to join the army in order to know how and what is arranged in this life. A man must be strong and charismatic, even though he does not look like a superman. But, God forbid, if something happens to his woman or children, he is obliged to turn on all his systems, his entire arsenal to ensure their safety.

- By the way, about the ability to fend for oneself. You are fond of martial arts. Have children also been introduced to this?

- Yes, and the girls too. From basic training: classic boxing, Thai boxing, wrestling and more. Why are martial arts good for kids? Firstly, they compare favorably with other sports in the absence of idleness. No matter how you defend, all the same: one adroit footboard of the enemy and - injury. Therefore, the first thing that is taught in martial arts is attention. The second is the ability to fall. For example, when my child slips on the ice, my heart is already not trembling. I know for sure that now he will fall sideways, pull his chin to his chest so as not to damage the spine, and this is a very difficult skill.

- Do you introduce your children to faith?

- From a very young age. They still receive communion. At the main Orthodox holidays, they are always with us. In general, we have very church people as a guest and our children are well educated in this regard. They never allow themselves to argue with adults or somehow question their views.

- Anfisa is the eldest daughter. She is a very good person. She has precisely this quality that overshadows all the others. I am sure she will be a wonderful mother. Of course, she needs to develop her other talents and be realized in her work, as she wants, the benefit - the talents are measured out. Of course, I will help her as much as I can, but apart from rough patronage, because you cannot succeed on someone’s tip.

Evdokia is my second daughter. This is a very purposeful person with a truly brilliant intellect. I am sure that in this life she will achieve a lot, and again - not under the patronage of the pope, but because she deserves it.

Barbara is my third daughter. Charisma Man. You can rocket her energy and charm, that is, she gets everything, well, literally everything, no matter what she takes: be it psychology, Thai boxing or shooting.

Vasily is the eldest son. Once at school he was given the task of sprouting beans. And then my lazy boy opened a can of canned beans, planted a bean, and from there came a large plant.
