Such a jelly was made by my grandmother; my mother-in-law is still preparing it during numerous and lengthy posts. This is not only healthy, but also very tasty, although at first it seems that the jelly looks very unattractive, gray, gelatinous and cannot be tasty.

Fermentation.
I pour oatmeal into a liter jar almost on my shoulders and pour them with a little warm boiled drinking water. Water should cover oatmeal about the thickness of two fingers. When we cook the oatmeal jelly for the first time, we add a small piece of a crust of rye bread to the cereal jar and immerse it in water. Cover the jar with a clean towel or napkin.
We leave this jar for two or three days in a warm place for fermentation, rye crust of bread will speed up the fermentation process and make it better. When the heating batteries are turned off, you can keep a jar of oatmeal jelly for fermentation at the stove where the food is cooked.

Straining.
  During fermentation, oatmeal swells, increases in volume, acquires a pleasant bread flavor, very mouth-watering. After the fermentation process oatmeal  the liquid must be filtered. I take out the bread crust, and filter the swollen oatmeal through a colander or strainer. In the oat flakes remaining after filtering, pour a little warm, boiled drinking water, so that you can rinse all the available flakes, stirring, stir the mass and decant the liquid again.

All the liquid obtained after oatmeal fermentation is poured into a liter jar, covered with a lid and put in the refrigerator. I usually get 1.5 liters of oatmeal for making jelly, and oatmeal cake after straining and squeezing turns out to be about 1 cup.
Remaining oat meal  I never don't throw away, it can be used for various both culinary and cosmetic purposes.


Cooking oatmeal jelly.
  To cook yourself oat jelly, I take a jar from the refrigerator and carefully mix the contents of this jar with a spoon, as it is divided into 2 layers: a clear liquid and a thick white precipitate. I pour the amount of oat liquid I need, about a glass, into a small saucepan. I put on the fire and cook, stirring constantly, until the moment when the oatmeal thickens and begins to boil. Bringing oatmeal jelly to a boil, I immediately remove it from the fire. I like to eat oat jelly  warm. The thickness of the jelly is very dependent on the amount of water used to wash the oatmeal. My jelly is thick enough and I eat it with a spoon.

According to taste oat jelly  can be served not only hot, but also cold as jelly. To do this, it is poured into small bowls, cooled and refrigerated. Frozen oat jelly cut and eat to taste adding any vegetable oil, syrup, jam, honey or granulated sugar. This one is pretty simple oatmeal recipe  and even nowadays it is very popular in monasteries.

Years of practice oatmeal jelly  it is proven that it promotes healing, rejuvenation, longevity, gives strength and energy, improves the functioning of the brain, intestines and the entire human body as a whole.

I never throw away cake remaining from the preparation of oat jelly. What to cook from oatmeal cake: You can use it in any baking, whether cupcake, oatmeal cookies, bread, pancakes, tortillas or pancakes. You can feed pressed oatmeal to animals or birds. And can be used as body Scrub  or as anti-aging skin mask.

Wheat flour 200 g;
  oatmeal left over from cooking oatmeal jelly, oilcake, 1 cup;
  sugar 100 g butter 100 g or 0.3 cups vegetable oil;
  raw chicken eggs, 3 pcs.;
  sour cream 1-2 tbsp. spoons;
  baking powder 1.5 tsp;
  ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon;
  rose petals, ground 1 teaspoon;
  vanilla sugar 1 packet;
  2-3 apples, cut them into small pieces and mix with sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon;


Peel the apples and cut into small pieces. Sprinkle slices of apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon, mix and leave for 1 hour. Apples will give juice, this juice must be drained and you can drink it, it is very tasty.

Put butter in a bowl and melt over low heat. Poured sugar into softened butter and mixed everything, then added eggs and cake, i.e. swollen oatmeal and mixed again. Poured flour, baking powder and the remaining products, well mixed the dough.

The dough should look like a thick gruel. Lubricate the cake pan with vegetable oil, heat it and put there a part of the dough, on top of which lay a layer of apples. We spread all the apples and evenly distribute them on the surface of the oat dough. Put the remaining dough on top of apple slices.


I have a regular round frying pan that is very suitable for baking muffins. The dough should occupy a little more than half the height, since the cake will rise slightly during cooking. Bake oatmeal with apples  in the oven at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 50 minutes. The readiness of the cake is checked with a thin wooden stick.

When baking this oatmeal, apples can be replaced with any berries, for example, fresh raspberries.


Oatmeal cookies with apples and raisins, from oatmeal cake

Tasty and hearty oatmeal cookies with poppy seeds and nuts, with apple and raisins.

Ingredients for Oatmeal Cookies with Apples:
  100 g butter;
  0.5 cups of sugar;
  2 tablespoons of suitable or flower syrup;
  2 eggs;
  0.5 cups flour;
  1 teaspoon of baking powder;
  1 cup oatmeal meal;
  2-3 medium apples;
  1/4 cup raisins;
  A pinch of cinnamon.

Cooking:
  We wash the raisins and steam for 5 minutes with not very hot water to preserve the beneficial substances. When the raisins become soft, we drain the water, and you can drink raisin water, it is good for the heart, like raisins themselves.

Rub the soft butter with a spoon with sugar. Add the syrup and mix. Add eggs and flour with baking powder, mix again. My apples, peeled, core and three on a coarse grater.

Then add oatmeal, raisins, grated apples and a pinch of cinnamon - for flavor. Mix well again. It turns out a soft dough with oatmeal.

We cover the baking sheet with confectionery parchment, grease it with refined sunflower oil.
  We wet our hands in water and form balls of the size of a large nut from dough. We distribute cookies on a baking sheet. Bake oatmeal and apple cookies at 170-180С for 30-35 minutes, until cooked.

Using different additives for preparing the dough: seeds, poppy seeds, dried apricots, dried berries, nuts, each time we will receive new homemade tea biscuits, aromatic, healthy and tasty.

Recipe for squeezed fritters obtained during the preparation of oat jelly.

Ingredients:

Oatmeal left over after cooking oatmeal jelly, i.e. well-pressed cake;
  wheat flour, the amount is determined during the preparation of the dough;
  vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon;
white rose petals, ground - 1 teaspoon;
  flax seed - 1 teaspoon;
dill and basil, fresh, but also dried;
or
  ground cardamom - 1/4 teaspoon;
or
  ground cumin or coriander to taste.
  salt and sugar to taste.

How to cook oatmeal pancakes derived from oatmeal:

Combine all the ingredients and knead a thick dough. Add wheat flour in portions until the dough stops sticking to your hands.
We divide the dough into equal portions and from each we form a ball, which we then flatten and form pancakes.
